About the Role

At BuildPass, great SDRs don’t come from one mould — and that’s exactly the point. Our team includes people from all sorts of backgrounds, and they’ve all thrived in this role for the same reason: they’re curious, coachable, and hungry to learn.

We’re a team of 11 across Sales, up from 9 at the start of the year — and we’ve built a culture that consistently sets ambitious targets and delivers on them. We’re proud of our momentum, our discipline, and the way we back each other to win.

The Sales Development Representative is one of the most important roles at BuildPass. You are the first point of contact for either our Inbound or Outbound Customers. Understanding our product, positioning, use cases and how we can truly help construction companies run their site operations.

Plainly speaking, you will be responsible for picking up the phone and generating new business opportunities that ultimately drive revenue for BuildPass.

What You'll Do
  • Proactively reach out to prospects to generate new business opportunities for BuildPass
  • Identify and qualify leads through outbound efforts (cold calls, emails, LinkedIn, etc.) as well as inbound inquiries
  • Understand customer needs and requirements, educating them on how BuildPass can solve their pain points
  • Collaborate with the sales team to book meetings and build a robust sales pipeline
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in a CRM, managing multiple prospects at various stages of the sales funnel
  • Stay current on industry trends, BuildPass product developments, and competitors
What You'll Bring to the Team
  • 1+ year of professional experience from any background
  • Results driven mindset. The ability to be handed a target, and calculate how you are going to achieve and surpass this target.
  • Go from learning the ropes, to becoming an expert in our ideal customer. We pride ourselves on our strong ability to understand when we would be a perfect fit for our customers. More importantly, when we may not be.
  • Outstanding ability to listen
  • Curious and experimental - pushes the boundaries to achieve the optimal result
  • Strong desire to join sales at an early stage and build your career (no pun intended)
