We're looking for a confident, motivated and results oriented Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our growing sales team in Canada!

We are an established software Digital procurement platform within the Valsoft portfolio. bids&tenders was created over 15 years ago to meet a critical need: providing a public, accessible platform for suppliers to view procurement opportunities. Since then, we’ve been continuously invited by public buying agencies across North America to innovate alongside them. From being the first to introduce eBidding submission software to developing tools that help manage supplier performance, bids&tenders has grown into a trusted partner within the public procurement community.

Built by public procurement professionals for public procurement professionals, bids&tenders is committed to delivering solutions that make the procurement process transparent, efficient, and effective.

This role involves qualifying inbound leads, sourcing outbound prospects, and re-engaging existing contacts to generate meetings and sales opportunities. The ideal candidate brings 3-5 years of sales experience, a track record of exceeding targets, and a solid grasp of the sales cycle. Strong communication skills and attention to detail are essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Research and identify potential clients within government sectors at Federal, Provincial/State, and Municipal levels across North America.
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified leads through market research, cold outreach, and email campaigns.
  • Initiate contact with prospects, assess their needs, and schedule introductory meetings.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop and execute targeted strategies to convert leads into customers.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, regulatory changes, and procurement practices relevant to vertical market software.
  • Share customer feedback and market insights with the product team to inform development.
  • Maintain accurate records of all client interactions in the CRM system.
Qualifications
  • Experience in software sales, particularly within government or regulated industries.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Self-driven and goal-oriented, capable of working independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong skills in research and lead generation.
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms and sales enablement tools.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • Bonus if you have worked within public procurement
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
