Job summary

Noble Alberta is seeking a motivated Sales Development Program Trainee to join our Calgary team. You will advance through a 5-phase program spanning shipping, sales, operations, purchasing, and account management to learn our business from the ground up.

From Phase 1 through Phase 5, you’ll gain hands-on experience with warehouse logistics, customer service, order management, and new business development, with the goal of shaping your long-term career path within our growing company.

Qualifications

  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Excellent communication with customers, vendors, and teammates.

Responsibilities

  • Progress through a 5-phase program to learn shipping, sales, operations, purchasing, and account management.
  • Phase 1 – Warehouse Logistics: learn products, vendor flow, and sales support.
  • Phase 2 – Operations: customer service, counter sales, order management, inventory and pricing controls, credit management, financial statements.
  • Phase 4 – Outside Sales/Account Management: find new business, negotiate contracts, build relationships.
  • Phase 5: determine your ideal career path.

Job Description

As a Sales Development Program Trainee, you will progress through a 5 phased program to learn every aspect of our business from shipping and receiving, to sales, operations, purchasing, account management and everything in between.

Additional duties will include:

Phase 1 - Warehouse Logistics

  • Learn the products we sell, how they get from the vendor to the customer and understand all levels of sales support.

Phase 2 - Operations

  • Get involved in our customer service, counter sales, order management, inventory and pricing controls, credit management, financial statements, and much more…
  • Go from helping customers with various product and service issues to managing large-scale projects.

Phase 4 - Outside Sales/Account Management

  • Learn how to find new business opportunities, sell our products, negotiate contracts, and build customer and vendor relationships.

Phase 5 - In this phase, you can take all of your training and determine your ideal career path.

Salary Range - $40,000 - $45,000
