A social services organization in Central Ontario is seeking a part-time Rural Women Support Worker. The role involves providing outreach counseling to women survivors of domestic violence and facilitating youth programs. Alternatives for Women, an intersectional feminist organization, provides counselling, Second Stage Housing, transitional services and programming to women who have experienced abuse. AFW is seeking applicants for the following position:
Rural Women Support Worker – Contract – Part Time- 14-21 hours a week
The Rural Women Support Worker is responsible to the Executive Director and will provide outreach counseling to female survivors of domestic violence in Prince Edward County two-three days a week up to March 31, 2026 (position may be extended based on funding). The RWSW will also facilitate Be the Program, a healthy relationships curriculum for youth, with the support of other staff and the Executive Director.
