Job summary

A leading regional health authority in Manitoba seeks an experienced Family Physician for its busy family practice in Ashern. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive patient care, including coordinating care and covering the ER. Candidates must possess a medical degree and meet certification requirements. This role offers a self-employed compensation model based on fee-for-service income.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in a GP environment required.
• Ability to work independently and manage patient care.
• Commitment to reside in the surrounding area.

Responsibilities

• Co-ordinate primary patient care and perform ER coverage.
• Provide inpatient and outpatient care, including prescribing medications.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

Skills

Confident physician leader

Strong clinical and acute care skills

Emergency and minor surgery experience

Education

Medical degree

Immediate certification with the Medical Council of Canada

Membership in the College of Family Physicians of Canada

CCFP certification

Licensure with the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Manitoba
