Job summary

Flexstaf IT is seeking an experienced Java/Angular software developer for an on-site, five-days-a-week role in Toronto, Ontario. You will work on large enterprise projects, delivering robust Java applications and Angular front-ends while collaborating with project teams and stakeholders.

The position emphasizes data analysis, design changes, and accessibility WCAG 2.0 AA compliance, with opportunities to contribute across the tech stack and to OPS-related public sector initiatives.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of programming and development experience in Java and/or Angular.
• Development tools with emphasis on technical skills listed below.

• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with the project team to meet goals and objectives.
• Knowledge of MNRF-AFFES division service offerings.

Responsibilities

• Develop Java applications using Liberty, Spring and JPA/Hibernate.
• Design changes and implement data analysis to diagnose issues.
• Build Angular front-ends and web UI components.
• Create and optimize Oracle database scripts and data models.
• Ensure UI accessibility to WCAG 2.0 AA standards.
• Collaborate with project teams to deliver value in public sector OPS programs.

Data Analysis and Design - 25%

• Experience conceiving, reviewing, and implementing design changes
• Experience analyzing data records, diagnosing, and resolving issues

Technical - 30%

• Demonstrated experience developing Java applications based on:
  • Liberty

  • JPA2.1 implementations, e.g. Hibernate 3.6, Eclipse Link 2.5 etc.,
