Job summary

Rubicon Path is seeking a seasoned Technical Program Manager to lead large, high-risk initiatives. You will guide cross-functional teams through planning, development, testing, and deployment with a focus on eliminating bottlenecks and delivering value.

You will facilitate agile ceremonies, manage client expectations, and report on KPIs and progress. Strong communication and adaptability are essential in a rapidly changing environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Provides project management on large scale, complex, high-profile and high-risk projects for OPS I&IT initiatives.
  • Project Planning and Road mapping: Collaborate with technical teams to develop and maintain roadmaps aligned with business goals.
  • Task Breakdown: Break down large tasks into smaller pieces for clarity and focus.
  • Agile Facilitation: Facilitate sprints, stand-ups, retrospectives and support agile processes.
  • Bottleneck Identification: Identify risks and bottlenecks and propose solutions to stay on track.
  • Work Allocation: Balance workloads and priorities across teams.
  • Metrics and KPIs: Define, track, and report on team performance and throughput.
  • Process Optimization: Continuously improve processes to boost efficiency.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Drive alignment and transparency across multiple teams.
  • Reporting: Create clear reports on project status and progress using tools like Jira.
  • Accountability: Own project delivery and ensure timelines and quality standards.
  • SDLC Tracking & Technical Oversight: Monitor SDLC stages to manage risks and dependencies.

About Us

We are seeking a highly skilled and adaptable Technical Program Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of how technical products are built, deep expertise in agile methodologies, and the ability to navigate ambiguity while keeping teams focused and productive. They must also excel at communicating progress, managing stakeholder expectations, and resolving client conflicts effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provides project management on large scale, complex, high profile and high-risk projects for OPS I&IT initiatives.
  • Project Planning and Road mapping: Collaborate with technical teams to develop and maintain project roadmaps, ensuring alignment with business goals and priorities.
  • Task Breakdown: Break down large, complex tasks into smaller, manageable pieces of work, ensuring clarity and focus for the team.
  • Agile Facilitation: Facilitate agile ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives) and ensure adherence to agile processes and principles.
  • Bottleneck Identification: Proactively identify bottlenecks and risks and propose actionable solutions to keep projects on track.

  • Metrics and KPIs: Define, track, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure team performance and work throughput.
  • Process Optimization: Continuously evaluate and improve processes to optimize team efficiency and output.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Facilitate communication and collaboration across multiple teams, ensuring alignment and transparency.
  • Reporting: Create and deliver clear, actionable reports on project status, progress, and metrics using tools like JIRA.
  • Accountability: Take ownership of project delivery, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • SDLC Tracking & Technical Oversight: Monitor and track the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) to ensure projects progress through key phases (e.g., planning, development, testing, deployment) efficiently, identifying risks and dependencies at each stage.
Qualifications:

Technical Understanding:

  • Strong grasp of how technical products are built, with the ability to engage with engineers and understand technical challenges.
  • Possess a deep understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and hands-on experience guiding projects through each phase, from planning and development to testing, deployment, and maintenance.

Agile Expertise: Proven experience with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.) and familiarity with agile tooling like JIRA.

Project Management Skills: Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects in dynamic environments with minimal definition.

Communication:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to handle client relationships to manage expectations, provides updates as required, identifies potential conflicts between project and functional areas

Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on identifying and resolving bottlenecks.

Process-Oriented: Experience creating, refining, and optimizing processes to improve team efficiency.

Metrics-Driven: Comfortable defining and tracking KPIs to measure and improve team performance.

Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment with ambiguous requirements.

Leadership: A collaborative and empowering leadership style, with the ability to motivate and guide teams toward success.

Nice-to-Have Experience:
  • Certification in agile methodologies (e.g., Certified Scrum Master, PMI-ACP).
Must haves:

This is a Technical PM Role so the client is looking for a hands-on Technical PM with excellent communication skills.

Ability to handle client relationships to manage expectations provide updates as required, identify potential conflicts between project and functional areas and communicate with different stakeholders at various stages of the Project Delivery

Possess a deep understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and hands-on experience guiding projects through each phase, from planning and development to testing, deployment, and maintenance.

Proven experience with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.) and familiarity with agile tooling like JIRA.
