Job summary

Maarut in Toronto is seeking a Senior Software Developer to support the Drug Formulary and Genomics team, contributing to Django/Python and .NET MVC based systems integrated with Azure and AWS.

You will design, develop and test Drug Formulary features, build Python apps on PanelApp, implement Docker workflows for AWS/OpenShift deployment, and ensure security, performance and data privacy across services, while collaborating with clinical and IT teams.

Qualifications

• Experience with Visual Studio .NET MVC and SQL Server in Azure.
• Proficiency in Python web frameworks, Celery, and AWS.
• Experience with GraphQL or REST APIs.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, develop and unit test the Drug Formulary side effects functionality for the Azure web app.
• Design and develop Python-based applications on the PanelApp platform using Django and AWS.
• Develop and test docker-based development workflows and work with security tools.
• Deploy or operate workflows in AWS.
• Develop components for the Web Transformation project integrating with Ontario Health site and Drug Formulary CMS service.
• Provide production support: triage incidents, optimize performance, harden security/privacy controls, and reduce data latency.
• Resolve vulnerabilities from StackHawk and Mend scans.

Job description

The Senior Software Developer will support the Drug Formulary and Genomics team.Drug Formulary is a cancer drug and regimen resource for patients and healthcare professionals. It provides tools for patient education and information on prescribing drugs. PanelApp is an open-source platform from Genomics England built on the Django framework.

Required Skills:

• Microsoft Visual Studio (.NET) MVC, SQL Server (database creation and management) in Azure
  
• Python web framework, task queues (e.g. Celery) in AWS
  
• GraphQL or REST APIs
  

Desired Skills:

• Modern JS frameworks (Vue/React/Angular)
  
• Azure DevOps (CI/CD Pipelines, repos, work item creation/management)
  
• Ability to handle end-to-end code promotion deployment from GitHub to OpenShift
  

Rated Criteria:/ Experience in:

Requirements
