A community hospital is seeking a Temporary Part Time Registered Practical Nurse for the Mental Health Inpatient Unit in Ontario. The ideal candidate will have RPN registration and three years of psychiatric nursing experience, along with excellent communication and assessment skills. The Mental Health Inpatient Unit is a Schedule 1 adult psychiatry short-term unit that provides assessment, stabilization and short-term treatment. The secured inpatient unit also features a dining room, group work areas and a private terrace for patients. A multidisciplinary team staffs the Unit, providing nursing care as well as treatment and activity programs.
Ross Memorial Hospital qualifies for the Government of Canada's Student Loan Forgiveness Program. Nurses may be eligible to receive up to $30,000 in Canada Student Loan forgiveness.
The Mental Health Inpatient Unit is currently seeking a Temporary Part Time Registered Practical Nurse to join their team.
Effective Date: As Soon As Possible
Ending On Or Before: September 16, 2026
Hours of Work: Available to work twelve (12) hour shifts, days and nights, Monday to Sunday. Shifts and hours may change according to departmental requirements and as per the CUPE Collective Agreement.
