Overview

We are hiring Registered Practical Nurses (RPN) for senior living homes in Stittsville. This is a 6-month full-time contract with health and dental benefits.

Responsibilities
  • Utilize sound nursing practice principles and provide nursing care in accordance with policy, physician's orders, and the resident plan of care.
  • Identify the needs of residents and develop and maintain appropriate care plans.
  • Ensure a timely and accessible admission for residents.
  • Ensure the supply, control and safe keeping of drugs and narcotics; ensure protocols are followed on all assigned shifts.
Qualifications
  • Diploma in Practical Nursing; current registration as Registered Practical Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Current registration as Registered Practical Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario; ability to provide a copy of the nursing license to indicate good standing.
  • Sound nursing knowledge in geriatric care and nursing administration.
  • Knowledge of the Nursing Home Act and Regulations, the Health Disciplines Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act, Pharmacy Act, and Food & Drug Act.
