Job summary

Mister Safety Shoes, Inc. is seeking a Route Salesperson to drive a mobile showroom to corporate customers in Peel/Halton. You will deliver footwear solutions, build relationships, and meet sales targets while managing flexible daily routes.

The role rewards performance with base pay plus 3% commission, bi-weekly and monthly bonuses, and comprehensive benefits. A driving license and willingness to travel are required, with growth opportunities within a growing Canadian retailer.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service experience preferred; route sales or driving experience is an asset.
• Valid Class D driver's license (or higher) and a clean driving abstract required; support may be available to obtain the license if needed.
• Willingness to travel and stay overnight occasionally.
• Ability to safely lift and carry up to 50 lbs., use ladders, and perform physically demanding tasks including standing, sitting, bending, and working in confined spaces.
• Comfortable working in all weather conditions and environments associated with driving and mobile operations.
• Strong ability to prioritize tasks, work in a fast-paced environment, and respond with a sense of urgency.
• Proficient with technology and computer systems used to support daily operations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with customers and team members.

What we are looking for:

Currently, we are looking for 1 Route Salesperson to join our Mobile Retail Team in the Peel/Halton area.

In this role, the Route Salesperson drives one of our fully stocked “Shoemobiles” to our corporate customers workplaces in a defined, established territory, addressing the footwear needs of their employees by providing the proper fit and the right recommendations for appropriate footwear for the job.

Our ideal candidate must be self-driven, self-motivated, able to be a strong team player while still being able to work autonomously, someone who is passionate and wants to provide the best service possible to each customer that comes onto the truck. We service customers all over the province and are looking for someone who enjoys the ability to be on the road and not tied to one location!

Duties and responsibilities:

Customer Service

Sales

• Achieve sales targets by consistently following established sales and service standards.
• Promote and sell products and complete solutions that meet customer needs.
• Maintain and enhance product knowledge to effectively support customers and drive sales.
• Identify and capitalize on upselling and cross-selling opportunities to improve the customer’s experience and increase sales.

Operations

• Support the day-to-day operation of the mobile store to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
• Conduct inventory counts, manage stock levels, and reconcile inventory records.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and customer-friendly environment.
• Identify maintenance needs and communicate them promptly to management.
• Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using the POS system.
• Follow company policies and procedures related to safety, merchandising, and loss prevention to protect company assets.
• Complete daily vehicle inspections and report any concerns.
• Maintain accurate daily driving logs in compliance with Ministry of Transportation requirements.
