Job description

Purpose. Performance. People.

Joining CPP Investments means joining one of the world’s most admired and respected institutional investors to drive a single mandate: to deliver strong, sustainable returns for generations of Canadians.

With a long-term horizon and global reach, we deploy capital at scale across public and private markets. Our size, stability, and disciplined investment philosophy allow us to pursue complex opportunities and build enduring partnerships worldwide.

For our people, this means meaningful work with tangible impact, real opportunity, and collaboration with exceptional colleagues who value partnership and performance. Here, you’ll contribute to outcomes that matter alongside team members committed to excellence and shared success.

The Role

Join CPP Investments as a Rotational Analyst in our CPA Program, a full-time opportunity designed for exceptional new graduates pursuing their CPA designation and a career in finance.

As a Rotational Analyst, you will complete two placements across eligible teams within Finance and Legal’s Assurance & Advisory group. Rotations are thoughtfully assigned based on CPA’s experience requirements, business needs, and your professional development goals, providing the depth of experience and mentorship needed to work toward your designation.

You will contribute to meaningful assignments from the outset while developing an understanding of how finance, and assurance and advisory professionals support a leading global investment organization. Through exposure to different teams and areas of the business, you will strengthen your technical capabilities, broaden your business acumen, and discover the work that best aligns with your interests and strengths.

The Team

CPP Investments is a CPA Ontario-approved training organization, and the program combines practical experience with structured support throughout your CPA journey. You will benefit from:

  • Hands-on assignments that support CPA competency development
  • Formal training and professional-development opportunities
  • Coaching, mentorship, and apprenticeship from experienced professionals
  • Meaningful performance feedback and career guidance
  • CPA‑related financial and exam support, including eligible tuition reimbursement
  • Exposure to senior leaders and colleagues across the organization

You will begin with LAUNCH, CPP Investments’ onboarding training program for new graduates, where you will learn about the organization, our investment approach, and the skills needed to succeed.

Throughout the program, you will learn from experienced colleagues, contribute to meaningful work, and receive ongoing mentorship and development.

You will also have access to Employee Resource Groups, online learning, inclusion initiatives, and a global network of colleagues to support your growth.

Participating Departments
Finance

Finance partners across CPP Investments to support informed business and investment decisions while maintaining strong financial stewardship. Depending on the rotation, analysts may gain experience in areas such as financial policy and reporting, valuations, business and financial planning, performance measurement, management analytics, financial controls, and tax governance. Analysts build technical accounting and analytical capabilities while developing a broader understanding of how Finance supports the management of a global investment portfolio.

Assurance & Advisory

Assurance & Advisory is CPP Investments’ internal audit function. The team provides independent assurance over the effectiveness of the organization’s governance, risk management, and internal controls, and delivers audit and advisory engagements across areas including Public Markets, Private Markets, and Technology & Operations. Analysts gain enterprise-wide exposure, contribute to engagements across the organization, and develop practical skills in risk assessment, governance, controls, data analysis, and stakeholder communication.

Qualifications
  • Candidates in an undergraduate or advanced degree program seeking to obtain their CPA designation and can start work in September 2027 are eligible to apply.
  • Candidates with a strong track record of academic success while balancing extracurricular activities.
  • Candidates with a strong set of interpersonal, thought leadership, relationship building and communication skills.
  • Candidates that often combine energy, enthusiasm and intellectual curiosity, with a demonstrated interest in accounting, finance and analytics.
  • A completed Graduate Diploma in Accounting, or equivalent CPA modules, is required prior to the start date.

You are motivated to contribute to something larger than yourself, approach complex challenges with rigor, and hold yourself to high standards in a collaborative, performance-driven environment.
