Job summary

Echo NDE, a CGSB/IRATA‑certified NDT contractor, seeks UT/MT Technicians to support long‑term projects across Alberta. This project‑based role requires travel to client sites with camp or hotel accommodations as needed.

You will perform NDE/NDT inspections, use rope access, document results, and uphold safety standards. Strong communication and teamwork are essential, both independently and in teams.

Qualifications

• CGSB UT1 or UT2 certification required.
• IRATA certification with logged hours required.
• Experience performing NDE/NDT inspections with rope access.
• Ability to travel throughout Alberta to client sites.
• Valid Class 5 driver's licence with clean abstract.

Responsibilities

• Perform NDE/NDT inspections per codes, standards and client specs.
• Use rope access techniques (IRATA) as required and conventional access when needed.
• Document inspection results accurately and timely in reports.
• Maintain safety and quality, and build positive client relationships.
• Participate in equipment inspections and pre-use checks.

Echo NDE is seeking CGSB‑certified UT/MT Technicians with IRATA certification to join our growing team. This is a project‑based position supporting long‑term projects at client sites throughout Alberta.

Responsibilities

• Perform assigned NDE/NDT inspection methods in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements.
• Perform inspections while utilizing rope access techniques (IRATA) as required, as well as through conventional access methods where applicable.
• Utilize strong written and verbal communication skills while working effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Follow established procedures and quality standards to ensure accurate inspection results while meeting project schedules and safety objectives.
• Maintain positive working relationships with clients and represent the company in a professional manner at all times.
• Adhere to all company, client, and regulatory health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
• Complete inspection reports and related documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
• Participate in equipment inspections, maintenance, and daily pre‑use checks to ensure operational readiness.

Qualifications

• Current CGSB UT1 or UT2 certification
• Current IRATA certification with proof of logged hours.
• Additional CGSB certifications are considered an asset.
• Experience performing NDE/NDT inspections while utilizing rope access techniques in industrial environments.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s licence with a clean driver’s abstract.
• Strong work ethic and commitment to delivering high‑quality work.
• Exceptional safety awareness with a commitment to following company and client safety procedures.
• Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with clients and team members.
• Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of technical performance.
• Willingness and ability to travel throughout Alberta to support operations at various client sites.
• Comfortable working in both camp‑based and hotel‑based accommodations, depending on project requirements.
• Willingness to work overtime as required to support project schedules.
