Job summary

Tacten Industrial Inc. seeks Journeyperson Pipefitters for the MLA project at LNG site in Kitimat, BC. The role involves installing and commissioning piping systems, interpreting blueprints, and ensuring system integrity with an emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Relocation is required, with up to three months of temporary housing available if needed. Start date is September 7, 2026; 40 hrs/week with potential overtime; hourly rate of $58.00/hr depending on certifications and experience.

Qualifications

• Journeyperson Pipefitter Certification is required.
• IRATA Level I or II certification or willingness to obtain with training provided.
• Mechanical background and understanding of hydraulic system pumps.
• Current safety certifications as required by client and BC standards.
• Located in Kitimat, BC or willing to relocate.

Responsibilities

• Install and assemble piping systems.
• Interpret blueprints and specifications to determine pipe layout and dimensions.
• Identify and fix leaks, replace damaged pipes, and perform routine inspections.
• Test and ensure the quality of pipe installations.

Position Summary

Tacten is seeking a professional and forward-thinking Journeyperson Pipefitters to join our team for the upcoming Marine Loading Arms (MLA) job at the LNG site in Kitimat, BC!

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing operations team while working with industry-leading rope access technology. As part of this role, all Pipefitters will receive IRATA Rope Access Training and Certification to support operations at site.

Position Details:

• Start Date: September 7, 2026
• Site/Location: LNG in Kitimat, BC. Relocation is required!
• Shift/Hours: 40 hrs./week and possible overtime
• Hourly Rate $58.00/hr. depending on certifications and experience
• Relocation: We are able to offer up to 3 months of temporary housing to assist with your relocation transition if required.

Responsibilities

This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the project’s startup's success by implementing innovative work techniques, fostering a collaborative environment, and driving advancements in our operations.

• Installation and assembling of piping systems.
• Interpreting blueprints and specifications to determine the layout and dimensions of the pipes
• Identifying and fixing leaks, replacing damaged pipes, and performing routine inspections to ensure the integrity of the system
• Testing and ensuring the quality of pipe installations

Requirements

• Journeyperson Pipefitter Certification required
• IRATA Level 1 or 2 certification or a willingness to obtain - training can be provided
• Mechanical background and solid understanding of Hydraulic system pumps etc.
• Current safety certifications as required by client and provincialstandards in BC
• Located in Kitima, BC or willing to relocate
