JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Summary:

Rod Guide Operators in Nisku, Alberta are responsible for all duties associated with the operation of the Mold Injection Unit.

Essential Job Responsibilities:
  • Operating, maintaining, and calibration of the Mold Injection Unit.
  • Start-up, QC Sampling, and Packaging.
  • Cleaning, inspecting, and general preparation work.
  • Rod movements, crane work, and order assembly.
  • General cleaning and housekeeping duties
  • Responsible to follow all applicable company and corporate policies, guiding principles, procedures, and programs; including but not limited to the process map, support processes, health, safety, and environmental requirements
  • Participate in training programs as required by the company
  • All other duties as assigned
Qualification Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • At least 1 year of prior experience and knowledge of oilfield tubulars and/or sucker rods is an asset.
  • Basic understanding of Hydraulics and Electrical trouble shooting
  • Training or previous experience in mold injection is an asset.
HSE Requirements:
  • Yard and shop environment, working indoors & outdoors. Possibility to be exposed to dust, fumes, or gases and changes of temperature/humidity
  • Physical requirements: squatting, bending, kneeling, twisting, lifting up to 32 kilograms, reaching, walking on rough ground, and working near moving equipment
  • Required to at all times wear proper protective clothing and equipment and perform duties in a safe manner
  • These positions have been determined to be "safety-sensitive" and are subject to pre-employment drug and alcohol testing as per the Canadian Drug and Alcohol Policy.
