Job summary

4AG Robotics is seeking a Robotics Software Co-op Student to join our software team in Salmon Arm. You will contribute to design, development, testing, and deployment of software powering our robotic harvesters, including back-end, computer vision, and robot controls.

You’ll gain hands-on experience with modern tools such as Git and Docker on Linux, collaborate across engineering disciplines, and participate in stand-ups, releases, and design discussions while exploring real-world farming

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mechatonics (Mechatronics), or related co-op program.
• Experience with C++. Knowledge of Python and Typescript is a bonus.
• Familiarity with Linux and Git.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
• Curiosity, initiative, and willingness to learn.

• Collaborating with team members on algorithm development for perception and control.
• Writing unit tests and performing code reviews to ensure high-quality software.

About The Role

As a Robotics Software Co-op Student at 4AG Robotics, you will become an integral part of our software development team. You’ll contribute to the design, development, testing, and deployment of software systems that power our robotic harvesters. Whether you’re working on back-end architecture, computer vision, robot controls, or user interfaces, your contributions will have a direct impact on our technology and our customers.

This is a hands-on role where you will be expected to take initiative, learn quickly, and work collaboratively with teammates across engineering disciplines.

What You Will Work On
