Job description

Company Description

Autonomique is at the forefront of innovation in Physical AI, addressing key challenges in autonomy such as perception, reasoning, and dexterity. Our robotics intelligence framework delivers reliable, autonomous solutions for industries with complex operational demands. With advanced bi‑manual robots, we are enabling groundbreaking advancements in manufacturing by empowering robots to perform critical real‑world tasks. We are driven by the mission to make autonomous systems practical and impactful today.

Role Description

This is a high‑impact, high‑ownership role for a builder who wants to shape our technical roadmap alongside the leadership team. You will work directly with the founding team to architect the core systems that define our robot's capabilities. We are looking for someone who values significant equity participation and wants to capture the upside of the value they create. You won't just be an employee; you will be a key architect of our success.

What You’ll Do
  • Define the Stack: Work directly with leadership to architect the perception and autonomy systems that will power our entire fleet of robots.
  • Build the Perception Pipeline: Design and deploy production‑grade computer vision systems — object detection, scene understanding, 3D reconstruction, and 6D pose estimation, LLVM, VLA models — that perform reliably in dynamic, unstructured environments.
  • Enable Embedded Intelligence: Develop and optimize perception and reasoning models to run efficiently on embedded hardware with strict latency and memory constraints.
  • Drive Full‑Stack Autonomy: Architect the reasoning and planning layer that connects perception, semantic task understanding, and low‑level robot control into a unified system — one that handles uncertainty and acts without human intervention.
  • Production‑Grade Engineering: Write, review, and maintain mission‑critical code for our core robotics stack, establishing the engineering standards for the entire company.
  • Optimize & Scale: Continuously profile robotic software to maximize throughput and reliability across our growing fleet of deployed robots.
Qualifications
  • Education: PhD or MS in Robotics, CS, or related field with a track record of publications at CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, ICRA, or CoRL.
  • Experience: 3+ years shipping perception or autonomy software on physical robotic systems.
  • Computer Vision Depth: Strong expertise in 3D vision, semantic segmentation, multi‑view geometry, and/or foundation models for pose estimation.
  • Reasoning & Planning: Familiarity with spatial reasoning, task planning, and integrating vision‑language models (VLMs) into robot decision loops. Familiarity with SLAM, visual odometry, or world modeling.
  • Engineering Excellence: Production‑level proficiency in Python and C++ with a track record of building robust, maintainable systems.
Why Join Us
  • Ownership: We offer a substantial equity package designed for those who believe in our mission and want to be rewarded for the company's long‑term success.
  • Impact: Work directly on real‑world projects and see your code deployed in the real world immediately. We are already shipping robots in production.
  • Culture: A collaborative, high‑velocity supportive environment conducive to both personal and professional growth.
