Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking an experienced Technician in Canada to perform preventive maintenance and advanced diagnostics on a fleet of large-scale generators, pumps, HVAC and related equipment. The role requires the ability to perform complex repairs safely and efficiently.

Ideal candidates have a High school diploma or GED, plus trade training and a Red Seal (Heavy Duty). The position offers competitive wages, RRSP matching, paid vacation and a strong path for advancement within the company.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; some trade school or equivalent training desired.
• Previous mechanic experience with diesel/heavy equipment or specialty lines equipment strongly preferred.

Job Description Summary

Sunbelt Rentals - the fastest growing rental business in Canada- is seeking an experienced Technician - You!

This mechanic/technician role performs preventive maintenance, perform advanced diagnostics, and makes complex repairs on equipment in the safest, most effective way possible to avoid downtime.

Our fleet varies by location but this branch focuses on large-scale power generators, pumps, HVAC systems and oil/gas-related equipment.

Education or experience that prepares you for success

High school diploma or GED required, some trade school or equivalent training desired.

Previous mechanic experience with similar diesel equipment and/or heavy equipment or specialty lines equipment (large-scale generators, pumps, HVAC or Oil & Gas equipment) strongly preferred.

A valid Red Seal (Heavy Duty) is required.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities you may rely on

May need to provide mechanic’s tools of the trade.

Advanced knowledge of hydraulic systems & troubleshooting skills.

Advanced knowledge of electrical systems & troubleshooting skills.

Ability to be flexible with changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Base Pay Range

32.53 - 46.75
