Job summary

Dawson Road Maintenance is seeking an experienced Road Foreperson to lead a dedicated maintenance team across our service area. The role is based in Alexis Creek, BC, with travel throughout the province and reporting to the Superintendent, Roads.

Ideal candidates bring several years in management within road maintenance, a Class 3 (Air Brake) license or higher, and a proven commitment to safety and efficiency in field operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of experience in management level roles.
• Minimum five years of knowledge and experience in road maintenance.
• Valid Class 3 Driver's License with Air Brake Endorsement required.
• Valid Class 1 Driver's License preferred.
• Must have a clean driver's abstract.
• Capability to operate equipment subject to qualifications.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to complete shift work as required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise maintenance crews, subcontractors, and hired equipment across the service area.
• Lead safety-first operations and ensure compliance with MoTT maintenance specifications.
• Coordinate activities and communications with stakeholders and government personnel.
• Travel throughout BC as needed from Alexis Creek base location.
• Report to the Superintendent, Roads and support the field team.
