Road Gas Technician - TAG 1

Are you a TAG 1 Gas Technician passionate about heating systems and industrial boilers? We are currently seeking an expert to join our dedicated service team. This Gas Technician position is ideal for an autonomous and rigorous individual who places safety at the very top of their priorities.

As a Road Gas Technician, you will be responsible for the commissioning and troubleshooting of specialized equipment. During the summer period, which is typically quieter for heating services, this Gas Technician role requires great versatility to support various ventilation projects. The ideal candidate must possess an exemplary profile: fully bilingual, holder of a valid driver's license, and with a clean criminal record (or pardon obtained), as this Road Technician position requires travel to the United States approximately four times a year for cutting‑edge training.

Schedule: Day shift, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.

Compensation: Annual salary ranging between $80,000 and $100,000.

Industry: Specialized maintenance and industrial heating.

Equipment: Service vehicle provided for door‑to‑door use.

Responsibilities
  • Execute the commissioning, diagnostic, and repair of industrial boilers.
  • Perform basic PLC programming and advanced troubleshooting of specialized control systems.
  • Maintain professional communication with clients throughout the Montreal territory, including the North and South Shores.
  • Complete detailed service reports while ensuring strict adherence to current safety standards and regulations.
  • Demonstrate versatility by contributing to various ventilation projects during the off‑peak season.
Qualifications
  • Possess a valid gas competency card (mandatory TAG‑1) along with a valid ASP Construction safety card.
  • Demonstrate 2 to 3 years of significant experience in stationary machine mechanics or industrial heating systems.
  • Hold permanent residency or Canadian citizenship to facilitate required travel to the United States for specialized training.
  • Exhibit exceptional customer service skills and the ability to maintain composure in high‑pressure environments.
  • Provide your own basic hand tools, as well as a safety helmet and certified safety boots.
  • Maintain professional bilingualism in French and English to conduct service calls, attend training sessions, and support diverse clients.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and ensure all professional training certifications are up to date.
  • Experience with specific manufacturers such as Fulton is considered a major asset for this role.
  • Apply solid technical knowledge of hydronic systems and industrial automation.
