Qualifications

  • Registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) and in good standing.
  • Clear & updated Vulnerable Sector Check within last six months.
  • Valid Driver’s License & reliable car for community homecare required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide patient care in community homecare settings.
  • Participate in specialty programs including Peritoneal Dialysis and Wound Care.

Education

Core Competencies:
  • Registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) and in good standing
  • Experienced in Home and Community Care is an asset
  • Current BCLS certification (Level C)
  • Demonstrated clinical assessment and patient/family teaching skills
  • Demonstrated effective communication skills
  • Charting on Procura is an asset
Shifts

1 days during the week (evenings) and alternate weekends (evenings)

Requirements
  • Clear & updated Vulnerable Sector Check (within last six months)
  • Valid Driver’s License & reliable car in community homecare is required
  • Up to date TB test within last 2 years
  • Must have your own:
    • Stethoscope
    • Blood pressure cuff and Sphygmomanometer
Note

This is a specialty program for Peritoneal Dialysis, Wound Care, IV Management, Diabetic Care & Post Operative Care in the community.
