Position Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct, compassionate care to patients in both the Emergency and High Acuity Units. Working under the direction of the Unit Manager, the RN plays a critical role in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care to meet the physical, emotional, and psychological needs of patients in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in emergency and high acuity settings.
  • Perform rapid assessments and initiate appropriate interventions.
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to Interior Health’s standards, policies, and ethical guidelines.
  • Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families.
Qualifications
  • Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
  • Previous ER or acute care experience preferred.
  • Pay rate : 58-62 CAD / hr
