Job summary

A leading not-for-profit care organization in Halifax is seeking a skilled RN Facility Supervisor to join its team. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Nursing, strong leadership abilities, and significant experience in nursing, particularly in long-term and acute care. This role requires knowledge of CPR, WHMIS, and physical assessments, with an emphasis on providing quality patient care. Immediate start available with variable hours.

Northwood is currently accepting applications for a RN Facility Supervisor to join our team in Halifax!

Reports to Manager, Nursing Services

Qualifications
  • Registered Nurse in the Province of Nova Scotia.
  • Bachelor of Nursing degree or combination of relevant experience/education.
  • Six to ten years of relevant work experience
  • Experience in physical assessment required
  • Experience in mental health considered an asset
  • Experience in long term care and acute care considered an asset
  • Experience working in a unionized environment considered an asset
  • Current knowledge in concepts and trends in nursing and management.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • CPR and First Aid certificate required
  • WHMIS required
  • GPA and PIECES required
  • Certificate in Gerontology considered an asset
  • Alzheimer's and other related dementia care course considered an asset
  • NVCI considered an asset
  • Must have regular and consistent attendance in accordance with the Northwood corporate standard.
