Job summary

Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre seeks a dedicated nurse to provide comprehensive care for patients with complex malignant hematology conditions. You will deliver primary nursing care across CMH inpatient and outpatient units, rotating between sites as scheduled.

You will manage treatment-related side effects, conduct thorough assessments, educate patients and families, and participate in interprofessional management and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Must be registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Baccalaureate degree in nursing preferred.
• Current BCLS certificate required.
• Minimum of two years of acute care experience.
• Medical oncology/hematology experience preferred.
• Commitment to person-centered care and ongoing learning.
• Willingness to obtain/maintain required certifications (De Souza/ONS) if not already held.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care across CMH inpatient and outpatient units, rotating sites per schedule.
• Manage side effects of pancytopenia and administer systemic therapy.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments and counsel patients and families.
• Collaborate within the interprofessional team and contribute to program development.
