Job summary

Extendicare is seeking a part-time Personal Support Worker to provide personal care and support to residents under supervision. You will assist with daily living, mobility, meal planning, and maintain confidentiality of resident information while collaborating with the care team.

Responsibilities include adhering to care plans, reporting changes, and escalating emergencies. A PSW diploma and BCLS/First Aid are required; a Vulnerable Sector Check may be needed, with opportunities for professional

Qualifications

• Graduate of Personal Support Worker program (or provincial equivalent certificate with 600 hours in theory & practicum).
• Experience working with seniors in the community health services setting.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrated organizational and time management skills.
• Strong interpersonal and customer focus skills.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support and First Aid certification.
