Job summary

Untold Studios in Toronto, Ontario, Canada is seeking a Rigging artist to design, create and maintain rigs for characters and creatures. You will work with a skilled team to push technical innovation and ensure high-quality shots.

Eligibility to work in Canada is required and the role is on-site in Toronto. The successful candidate will contribute to rigging workflows, tooling, and collaborate with production, animators, lighters and modelers.

The Role

As a Rigging artist you will be responsible for designing, creating and maintaining rigs for characters and creatures alike. You will have good knowledge of anatomy and a working knowledge of scripting and interface creation. You would be passionate and solutions driven, you thrive on innovation and enjoy new challenges. You help ensure Untold Studios is at the forefront of technical innovation.

We are committed to supporting you and your ongoing development. We will work closely with you to establish your personal progression plan. You are never on your own. You must be living and eligible to work in Toronto, Ontario, Canada for this role.

Responsibilities

• Designing, creating and maintaining effective character rigs in Maya.
• Supporting the development of the rigging workflow and pipeline.
• Collaborating with production, animators, lighters and modellers to ensure that shots are delivered on time at the highest quality.
• Contributing to the development of the rigging toolset.
• Incorporating artistic and technical feedback to improve rig behaviour.

Pay range: $85,000-130,000 CND/Year depending on experience, skills, and qualifications.

You must be living and eligible to work in Toronto, Ontario, Canada for this role.
