Position Summary

The RFP Writer will be responsible for researching, developing, writing, and assembling proposals in response to RFPs, RFQs, and tenders from healthcare organizations and government bodies. This is a part-time or contract-based position, ideal for an experienced proposal writer who thrives on crafting high-quality submissions and managing multiple projects per year with precision and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities
  • Proposal Development & Writing – Review, interpret, and summarize RFP requirements to ensure full understanding of submission criteria. Draft, edit, and finalize proposal documents that align with MAGNUS’s brand voice and standards. Create clear, persuasive, and compliant narratives highlighting company strengths, service delivery model, quality control measures, and differentiators. Develop executive summaries and value statements tailored to the specific client or agency.
  • Project Coordination – Develop and maintain a proposal calendar, ensuring timely submissions and internal review processes. Collaborate with internal teams to gather required data, credentials, pricing, and organizational details. Coordinate supporting documents (certifications, references, insurance, compliance forms, etc.).
  • Research & Continuous Improvement – Research healthcare procurement trends and stay current on public sector RFP requirements. Maintain a library of reusable content (company overviews, staff bios, standard forms, case studies). Continuously refine templates and messaging to improve win rates and proposal quality.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years of experience writing or managing RFPs, preferably in healthcare, staffing, or professional services.
  • Strong understanding of public procurement processes and RFP compliance structures.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and document design skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe PDF tools.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Experience working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Background in healthcare or human resources is considered an asset.
Hours & Engagement

Flexible, part-time contract position (approximately 10–15 hours per week on average).

Workload will vary depending on RFP schedule, with higher intensity during active bid periods.

Compensation based on per-project or hourly rate, depending on experience and availability.
