• Currently enrolled in BS, MS, or Ph.D. program in Canada (Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, Physics, or related).
• Knowledge of electronic circuits and principles.
• Familiar with RF/microwave and analog circuit design and measurement.
• Familiar with semiconductor device physics and IC design; experience with designtools like ADS/Cadence/HFSS is a plus.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel/Word) and quick to learn company software.
• Strong time management, self-starter, and good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lab testing and characterization of highly integrated Wi-Fi front-end modules.
• R&D of advanced analog and RF ICs for wireless (Wi‑Fi) tech.
• Assist in new product engineering and design activities.
• Communicate with staff at all levels and demonstrate problem‑solving and analytic thinking.
• Collaborate with cross-site teams to validate designs and support transfer to production.

Skyworks Solutions is seeking a university student for an RFIC design position for its Diversified Analog Solutions business unit at its location in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. This is a 1-year position which starts in January 2027 until December 2027.

Skyworks is a world-class, vertically integrated company with manufacturing capabilities in RF semiconductors, acoustic filters, packaging, and test. The candidate will be involved in all aspects of product realization and work with an extended cross-site team to validate and deliver high-performance RF products from concept to high-volume markets.

Term: 12-month Co-Op (Jan '27 - Dec '27)

Responsibilities

• Lab testing and characterization of highly integrated Wi-Fi front-end modules
• Contributing to the research and development of advanced analog and RF integrated circuits for wireless (Wi-Fi) technology
• Assist in new product engineering and design activities.
• Communicate with employees at all levels in the organization and be able to demonstrate excellent
• Problem-solving, data analysis, and critical thinking skills.

Required Experience and Skills

• Currently enrolled in a BS, MS, or Ph.D. academic program in Canada (Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, Physics, or related).
• Knowledge of electronic circuits and principles.
• Be familiar and interested in the art of RF/microwave and analog circuit design and measurement.
• Be familiar and interested in semiconductor device physics and integrated circuit design.
  Desirable knowledge/experience includes familiarity with ADS, Cadence, HFSS, or similar designtools.
• Proficient in the use of MS Office (Excel and Word) and have an aptitude for quickly learning other company-specific software.
• Self-starter with a strong work ethic and excellent time management skills.
• Good communication, organization, and documentation skills.

The typical pay range for an intern is currently CAD $25.00 - $44.00 per hour. Starting base pay will depend on level of education and the ultimate job duties and requirements.
