Job summary

Canada Life is seeking an Investment & Retirement Specialist to join the Freedom Experience team. You will respond to customer inquiries, provide sound investment advice, and help retain client assets through exceptional service.

The role emphasizes strong listening, communication, and deep knowledge of retirement savings. You will enroll clients in group retirement plans, offer portfolio guidance, and build lasting relationships via calls, emails, and virtual meetings.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, economics or related field.
  • LLQP license or willingness to obtain within three months of hire.
  • CFP/CFA certifications would be advantageous.
  • Five years of industry experience in financial services or related field, with a focus on sales or loyalty retention.
  • Strong knowledge of pension, savings and investment products.

Responsibilities

  • Support customers enrolling in group retirement savings plans and explain plan design.
  • Provide personalized investment and retirement advice tailored to the client portfolio.
  • Develop and maintain relationships through phone, email, in-person and virtual appointments.
  • Educate clients on financial planning topics and retirement options.
  • Address withdrawal inquiries with personalized solutions to meet client needs.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve client issues and improve satisfaction.
  • Lead client win-back initiatives to prevent asset outflows and improve engagement.
  • Grow and retain plan member assets within the group retirement plan.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance client experience with customized planning.
