Job Protected Unpaid Leave: 10 days for personal emergencies such as illness, injury and certain other emergencies and urgent matters.

Work hours: Minimum 35 hours per week, some weekends may be required

Job duties:

• Oversee and manage daily operations of the store and the gas station and act as a leader for the store employees including hiring, reviewing, and employee scheduling
• Assist in planning annual or specific budgets
• Develop rapport and make connections with the retail team and customers
• Resolve customer complaints in a timely and professional manner
• Implement and enforce daily operating procedures to ensure store is clean, adequately stocked, organized, and well kept
• Ensure all merchandise is stocked and displays are attractive, priced correctly, and displayed in a safe manner
• Maintain quality brand image standards
• Complete daily paperwork and computer entries in a timely manner as established by management
• Monitor cash over and short, inventory shrinkage, and drive offs daily
• Understand all information in the daily reporting of store operations
• Follow and enforce all company policies and established procedures in the store operations
• Communicate and perform all price change requests, markdowns/ups as requested by the manager
• Enforce safety and security and report all unsafe conditions
• Report and process all employee and/or customer incidents or accidents following company procedure

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Previous 1-year experience in retail business or gas station environment
• Completion of secondary school
• Willing to relocate
• Experience in budgeting
• Must have excellent communication skills in English and client service
• Education from a Canadian institute is an asset
• Able to work weekday and weekends
• Highly effective teamwork and organizational skills
