Retail Store Supervisor

Location: Vancouver, BC V5R 5M1 (On site)

Salary: $35.00 to $36.00 per hour; 30 to 40 hours per week.

Employment: Permanent, Full time; Start date: as soon as possible.

Schedule: Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend; Overtime available.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise staff (apprentices, store associates, design team, etc.)
  • Assign sales workers to duties
  • Hire and train or arrange for training of staff
  • Order and manage merchandise, including authorizing returns
  • Establish work schedules and ensure adequate staffing
  • Sell merchandise and meet sales targets
  • Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters
  • Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages
  • Organize and maintain inventory
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of workers, including office and volunteer staff
  • Conduct performance reviews
Qualifications
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 2 to less than 3 years in a retail environment.
