Retail Store Supervisor

Overview

This position is located in a rural retail business environment. The supervisor will manage day‑to‑day operations, including inventory, cash handling, and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Supervise 5–10 staff members (including apprentices and part‑time employees).
• Order and return merchandise, manage stock levels.
• Establish work schedules and coordinate activities of workers.
• Sell merchandise and manage cash transactions.
• Prepare sales, merchandising and personnel reports.
• Resolve customer requests, complaints and supply shortages.
• Organize and maintain inventory.
• Maintain security and safety standards; must be bondable.

Qualifications

• Education: College, CEGEP or other non‑university certificate or diploma (1–2 years).
• Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years in a retail supervisory role.
• Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Team player with reliable, adaptable, and client‑focused mindset.
