Job summary

Dollarama is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in daily retail operations, drive sales and customer satisfaction. You’ll serve as Manager on Duty in the absence of the Store Manager, leading a team and maintaining standards.

We require at least two years of retail experience with supervisory responsibilities, open availability, and strong leadership, communication and decision-making skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of retail experience.
• At least two years in a supervisory or management role.
• Open availability (day, evening, weekend).
• Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the Store Manager with operations and staff management.
• Helping with merchandising, stocking, and unpacking daily shipments.
• Providing exceptional customer service and resolving escalated issues.
• Training, coaching, and developing employees.
• Performing cash management, store opening and closing duties as needed.
• Assigning tasks to the team and ensuring store safety and cleanliness.
• Conducting regular performance evaluations and providing feedback.
• Ensuring adherence to company policies and safety standards.
• Maintaining visual merchandising standards.
• Responsible for hiring and performance management.
