Job summary

TJX Canada is seeking a motivated associate to engage customers and process transactions in a fast-paced retail setting. You will support merchandising, displays, and in-store operations while maintaining excellent service standards.

The role offers learning opportunities across merchandise processing, customer service, and store operations with a focus on teamwork and efficient service delivery.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1–2 years retail or service experience.
  • High School education or equivalent.
  • Excellent problem solving and communication skills including verbal, written and active listening.
  • Exceptional Customer Service skills with ability to identify stated and unstated inquiries and needs; strong register knowledge.
  • Ability to set up and maintain a warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support a culture of high-quality customer service by maintaining operational standards; communicate updates and changes clearly.
  • Plan and prioritize tasks; provide direction to Associates with management collaboration.
  • Train and develop Associates on merchandise presentation and customer service excellence.
  • Move merchandise to keep the sales floor visually appealing and aligned with standards.
  • Help drive sales and seasonality by crafting attractive displays in high-traffic areas.

What You’ll Do

It's safe to say there's no shortage of variety in what we do and how you contribute to different facets of the store such as Merchandise Processing, Visual Merchandising and Customer Service. Here are some key responsibilities of the role:

  • Supporting a culture of high-quality customer service by maintaining operational standards. Providing clear communication on updates and changes, and training Associates in service area policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrating ability to plan, prioritize tasks, and provide direction to Associates in collaboration with the management team.
  • Training and developing associates on merchandise presentation and customer service excellence, encouraging an environment of collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Play a crucial role in improving the shopping experience by coordinating and driving the timely movement of merchandise, ensuring the sales floor is visually appealing and aligned with presentation standards.
  • Contributing to sales and trend influence by crafting inspirational displays in high-impact areas, driving the store's fashion, brand, and value strategy through dynamic feature changes.
What You’ll Need
  • Minimum 1 to 2 years relevant experience; retail or service industry experience is preferred
  • High School education or equivalent experience
  • Excellent problem solving and communication skills including verbal, written and active listening
  • Exceptional Customer Service skills with ability to identify stated and unstated Customer and Associate inquiries and needs, Strong technical knowledge of register operations
  • The ability to set up and maintain a warehouse environment
