Job summary

Canna Cabana in Emerald Park, Saskatchewan is seeking a part-time Shift Leader to support store management, supervise daily operations, and deliver exceptional customer service.

You will train staff, help meet sales targets, manage inventory, and ensure health and safety compliance on shift. The ideal candidate has retail experience, CannaSell SK cert, a high school diploma, and a reliable, professional attitude.

Qualifications

• Must have or be able to quickly obtain CannaSell SK certification before first day of work.
• Completion of high school and College/CEGEP/vocational or technical training required.
• Must provide a copy of clean Criminal Background Check prior to start date.
• Minimum of 2 years work experience in the retail industry; cannabis industry preferred.
• First Aid certification is an asset.
• Demonstrated sales and service orientation.
• Excellent time management and prioritizing skills.
• Demonstrated ability to train and motivate staff.
• Lead by example in duties and conduct.
• Ability to work any shift, including Monday to Sunday, nights, holidays and weekends.
• Basic office administration skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities.
• Effective verbal and written communication.
• Strong customer service and troubleshooting skills.
• Diplomacy and professional attitude; knowledge of health and safety legislation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee responsibilities of Store Manager in absence of SM/ASM.
• Assist in personnel management and address customer service issues on shift.
• Provide direction and instruction to store associates.
• Ensure store conditions meet established standards.
• Ensure staffing levels meet business needs on request.
• Serve as sales and customer service leader in SM/ASM absence.
• Greet and assist customers with exemplary conduct.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and relevant legislation.
• Handle customer complaints and escalate when needed.
• Maintain health, safety and security regulations on shift.
• Contribute to achieving sales targets and KPIs.
• Oversee inventory processes and accuracy on shift.
• Other duties as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance to store management in supervising and facilitating the daily operations of the store
• Oversee the responsibilities of the Store Manager in the absence of SM or ASM
• Assist in the delivery of key personnel management when on shift and resolve any customer service issues as and when needed
• Provide direction, guidance and instruction to all store associates as required
• Ensure store conditions are consistently upheld to established standards
• Assist in ensuring staffing levels adequately meet business needs, only when requested
• Be the sales and customer service leader/role model in the absence of SM/ASM
• Greet and assist customers in a way that models exemplary conduct to other staff
• Ensure company policies and relevant legislation are consistently adhered to and upheld by all staff members
• Handle customer complaints as they arise, escalating to the appropriate individual as deemed necessary
• Ensure that all health, safety and security regulations are adhered to and required standards are met on shift
• Achieving sales target and store level KPI’s
• Ensuring employees on shift are actively pursuing sales goals
• Oversee and assist in inventory management and be accountable for the inventory processes on shift
• Other duties as required

Qualifications

• Must already have, or be able to quickly obtain,CannaSellSK certification before first day of work
• Completion of high school and College/CEGEP/vocational or technical training required
• Must provide a copy of clean Criminal Background Check prior to start date.
• Minimum of 2 years work experience in the retail industry required, Cannabis industry experience preferred
• A valid First Aid certification is considered an asset
• Demonstrated sales and service orientation required
• Excellent time management and prioritizing skills required
• Demonstrated ability to train and motivate staff required
• Skills to monitor and lead by example as required
• Ability to work any shift based on business needs, Monday to Sunday
• Ability to work nights, holidays and weekends and different locations
• Basic office administration skills required
• High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office productivity suite
• Highly effective teamwork skills
• Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with individuals at all levels of the organization
• Strong customer service and troubleshooting skills
• Well-defined sense of diplomacy
