Job summary

Nutrien is seeking an Accountant, Retail, Seed Accounting to perform complex month-end close, financial reporting, and variance analysis across multiple entities and currencies. The role requires strong accounting fundamentals, SAP experience, and advanced Excel skills.

You will partner with Finance, Operations and Business Leadership to drive financial excellence, support audits, and contribute to process improvements and seed program initiatives.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 3+ years of practical accounting experience.
• Proficient in applying accounting principles and financial reporting best practices.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP software.
• Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Handle complex month-end close across multiple entities and currencies.
• Identify process inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
• Investigate variances and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare financial reporting and commentary for cross-department use.
• Lead process improvement initiatives and ERP enhancement projects.
• Support audits and accounting guidance implementations.
