Job summary

AXIS MECHANICAL LTD in Chilliwack, BC is hiring for an on-site role requiring a secondary school diploma and 7 months to under 1 year of experience. The position involves cash handling, operating a cash register, processing contracts, and supervising staff. You will assist in merchandise displays and customer service in a busy setting.

Previous experience with sales, inventory and basic data entry is useful. The job is full-time and on site, with a standard 30–40 hour week and immediate start.

Responsibilities

• Accept cash, cheque, credit card or automatic debit payment.
• Operate cash register.
• Prepare sales, rental or leasing contracts.

• Teach interest or professional development courses.
• Exhibit designers plan and develop permanent and temporary or moveable exhibits and displays for museum exhibitions, trade shows, conventions, retail spaces and other exhibitions.
• Operate computerized inventory record keeping and re-ordering systems.
• Provide advice about merchandise.
• Advertise and/or promote products, sales or services.
• Perform data entry.
• Provide customer service.
• Train staff.

• Conduct sales transactions through Internet-based electronic commerce.
• Estimate or quote prices, credit or contract terms, warranties and delivery dates.
