Job summary

Staples Canada is seeking a friendly Retail Associate in Alberta to deliver exceptional service and help customers find the right furniture, technology and supplies. You will engage with shoppers, drive sales, and handle transactions at the POS while maintaining store standards and safety policies.

You will work as part of a collaborative team, supporting merchandising and signage, planograms, and stocking.

Qualifications

• 3 months to 1 year of prior retail experience (preferred).
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service and enhance customer engagement and satisfaction.
• Drive sales in the furniture, technology and supplies areas of the store.
• Set and achieve sales and margin goals with store leaders.
• Ensure operational excellence and uphold store brand standards.
• Support all merchandising and signage standards including planograms and stocking.
• Maintain Health & Safety, Asset Protection, and Privacy Policies.
• Engage with and sell to all customers, using selling tools to meet needs.
• Handle POS transactions, including shipping and marketing tools.
• De-escalate complex customer situations and refer to a manager when needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe store environment and ensure demos are functional.
