Pursuit is seeking a Retail/Photo Sales Associate for the Banff Gondola. This full-time seasonal role blends hospitality with onsite photography, welcoming guests and capturing memorable images while driving merchandise and photo package sales.

You will operate photo kiosks and POS systems, restock shelves, maintain pristine sales areas, and deliver outstanding service to a diverse, high-volume crowd at the Banff location.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to upsell and meet/exceed sales targets in a retail or guest-facing environment.
• Basic knowledge of photography or a DSLR camera is an asset.
• Fluency in English and strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

The hourly wage for this position is $18.00/hr.****ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES**The Retail/Photo Sales Associate role is dual-focused: delivering world-class service and driving sales across our gift shop and our proprietary photo platform (Storibox). This position requires a calm, positive, and resilient individual who can excel in both fast-paced retail and guest-facing photography. This role is the face of the Banff Gondola experience. You are expected to deliver world-class hospitality in every interaction, consistently adhering to the high standards set by the Hospitality Department, whether you are on the retail floor or at the photo kiosks. * Greet every guest with genuine warmth, provide proactive assistance, and embody the service standards defined by the Hospitality Department to create a memorable and positive experience* Proactively approach guests to capture high-quality, professional photographs. Utilize the Storibox platform to seamlessly look up, present, and sell photo packages, framing the purchase as a valued souvenir of their journey* Serve thousands of guests daily by efficiently operating tills, handling cash/credit transactions, and upselling/promoting products. Connect with guests to suggest items that enhance their visit or help them recall their experience* Handle guest inquiries and minor concerns with professionalism and empathy, escalating complex issues to management while ensuring the guest feels heard and valued* Provide expert product knowledge for both retail merchandise and photo packages, using your passion for the park to enhance the sales pitch* Manage a high-volume retail floor, including restocking and visual merchandising to keep the store attractive and fully stocked, even during busy surges* Assist with the receiving and processing of inventory, liaising with the management team on product stock levels and photo product fulfillment.* Maintain the cleanliness and organization of all sales areas, photo kiosks, and back-of-house operations* Follow all Health & Safety standards and operational procedures to ensure a safe environment for both guests and staff**REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS*** Proven ability to upsell and meet/exceed sales targets in a retail or customer-facing environment* Ability to quickly learn and efficiently operate our Storibox photo platform and POS systems.
