Job Overview
We are seeking an Assistant Store Manager with previous experience to support all operational and customer-facing tasks in store. This person will be responsible for store opening and closing operations, ensuring all store activities occur as expected, and providing a great in-store experience. The ideal candidate should have a strong attention to detail, be an expert in store processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and communicate barriers to the Store Manager. The position reports to and receives guidance from the Store Manager.
What You Will Achieve
- Manage a team of Brand Associates, setting expectations, goals, and developing talent.
- Act as the manager on duty, focused on delivering results and fostering a positive customer and employee experience.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe store environment for customers, staff, and products.
- Provide positive customer and employee experiences.
- Set high store standards reflecting the company’s brand image, values, and culture.
- Become a subject matter expert on POP MART’s core business information, including characters, products, and company history.
- Support marketing events such as in-store events, pop-up shops, conventions, and new store openings.
- Assist with RoboShop business operations and coordinate with in-store RoboShop staff and partners.
- Improve sales performance and meet KPIs such as store conversion rates, units per transaction, and sales trends.
- Drive sales of key products like Blind boxes, MEGA figures, and accessories.
- Work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Visual Merchandising & Inventory Management
- Implement visual merchandising and marketing directives from partners.
- Install marketing decals, props, and set up merchandising planograms and fixtures.
- Re-merchandise the sales floor based on product performance, making strategic adjustments.
- Collaborate with Inventory ASM to manage inventory levels.
- Perform back-of-house organization, inventory management, receiving, transferring, and audits.
Qualifications
- Experience and skills in retail industry.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment, prioritize tasks, and learn quickly.
- Strong customer engagement skills.
- Minimum of 2 years of store leadership experience in retail.
- High ethical standards, integrity, and trustworthiness.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Data-driven decision-making skills.
- Adaptability to fast-paced environments and new directives.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must be 18 years or older.
Physical Requirements
- Lift, carry, and move items up to 50 lbs.
- Stand and walk for long periods (6-8 hours).
- Bend, kneel, reach, and climb safely.
- Perform repetitive tasks like unpacking and stocking.
- Work in varying temperature conditions.
- Operate standard stockroom tools.
