Job description

Gillfor Distribution is currently hiring for a new position of a Retail Account Representative in Edmonton.

The primary function of the Retail Account Representative is to support all aspects of the Big Box Retail Store accounts to which they are assigned. The ideal Retail Account Representative is an effective communicator with exceptional verbal and written communication skills, a customer service-oriented mindset and very strong organizational skills. The chosen candidate must be abnew le to work effectively and efficiently both within a team-based culture as well as independently with minimal direction.

Performance Requirements
  • Create exposure for Gillfor in the marketplace
  • Act as the point person for assigned stores
  • Order entry and follow up
  • Handling phone calls and emails in a timely manner
  • Providing exceptional customer service
  • Extensive Product knowledge in all lines
  • Meeting monthly Sales targets
  • Upselling and cross selling
  • Training & coaching the CSRs in stores
  • Follow up on quotes, inquiries, and any complaint resolutions
  • Merchandising – executing plains laid out by RPSM
  • Store visits to cover high level conversations, training events 1 on 1, coaching and selling
  • Distribution of samples, price pages, and any other materials for the program
Standards Of Performance
  • Building Materials industry experience and or College related Sales/Customer Service education background.
  • Strong Microsoft Office computer skills.
  • Adhere to all Health & Safety policies & procedures.
  • Strong verbal and written skills to communicate with all levels of the organization.
  • Strong problem identification and solution development.
  • Travel required, valid drivers license
  • Self-motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm.
Work Conditions
  • Competitive salary plus discretionary bonus potential.
  • Full-time Monday to Friday (40 hours per week). and any overtime as required.
  • Working in the Retail Account Team.
  • Report directly to the Retail Program Manager.
