Key responsibilities:

  • Responsible for creating and enhancing a restaurant culture that drives excellence in hospitality success including top line revenues, excellent service standards, high quality product from the culinary and bar teams, dynamic culture, strong morale, and superior profit management to achieve financial goals
  • Monitors, directs and coordinates effective cleanliness and organization of the environment throughout the operation
  • Establishes, directs and reviews beverage procedures to ensure accountability, quality, presentation and service performance
  • Remains current on municipal laws and regulations with respect to the industry. Produces approved budgets, and operates within established guidelines regarding costs, expenses, sales and profits
  • All managers oversee recruitment, training, development and mentoring of current leader potentials and existing managers
  • Direct involvement in and follow up with disciplinary action and performance management of all management team members and staff (working in conjunction with the GM)
  • Conducts frequent audits of the restaurant to ensure excellence in all areas
  • Handles or assists with guest-related complaints and/or comments and coordinates proper follow up
  • Oversees the development of the front-line crew to ensure training and guidance
  • Prepares local financial and operational weekly reporting for delivering and analyzing the restaurant\'s financial results as a management team; reviews significant variances from the budgeted figures and ensures practices meet or exceed yearly targets
  • Monitors restaurant expenses to ensure effective cost-containment practices and that operating expenses are in line
  • Evaluates training procedures/results to ensure all employees contribute to high guest satisfaction and participate in front-line training as directed by the GM
  • Management, teaching and coaching of our business success foundation
  • Champion recognition and motivation efforts to be the employer of choice in the restaurant industry
  • Contributes to long-term planning and brand positioning
  • Coordinates and implements food promotions and menu planning to maximize guest experience and sales growth
  • Develops and maintains positive relationships
