Job summary

Serenity-Respite in Canada is seeking a compassionate Support Worker to assist children and young people aged 2-17 after school and on full days off school. You will provide respite care, assist with daily activities, meals, mobility, and plan engaging activities.

The role requires good caregiving experience, ability to follow medication procedures, reliable transport, and a discreet, caring approach. Valid First Aid and clear checks are required by the team.

Qualifications

• Experience in caregiving and supporting children/young people.
• Knowledge of medication procedures and safety.
• Physical ability to assist with transfers and mobility.

After-school childcare, Monday to Friday: 3:15 pm to 5:30 pm

Full days on non-school days, 8:30 am to 5:30 pm

Responsibilities:

• Provide respite care and support with daily activities

• Assist with mobility, transfers, and G-tubes
• Offer companionship and plan engaging activities
• Perform light housekeeping
