Job summary

Fraser Health is hiring a Regular Full Time Respiratory Therapist for the Surrey Memorial Hospital in Surrey, British Columbia. You will work in the Respiratory Unit, delivering diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory care for diverse patient populations.

Required credentials include graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program, CPR Level C, NRP certification, and eligibility for CSRT/BCSRT membership. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
• Successful completion of the Canadian Board of Respiratory Care credentialing exam.
• Eligible for CSRT and BCSRT membership.
• Current CPR Level C and NRP certification.

Responsibilities

• Assess and treat patients, including ventilation support for adults, children and infants.
• Maintain accurate documentation and workload statistics.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and care planning.
• Maintain and calibrate respiratory equipment and logs.
• Contribute to quality improvement and procedure development.
• Provide in-service education as required.
• Participate in staff education and community in-services.
• Perform other related duties as required.
