Job summary

Air Liquide Home Healthcare Canada seeks a Respiratory Therapist to join the Kamloops team, serving patients in Kamloops and West Kelowna. You will conduct comprehensive respiratory assessments, deliver equipment, and collaborate with physicians to plan therapy services.

You will provide patient education, complete documentation, and participate in an on-call rotation, contributing to VitalAire's growth while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist licensed to practice with the provincial body.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
• Rotational after-hours on-call schedule required.
• Proficient with Microsoft and Google apps on Android devices.

Responsibilities

• Conduct full respiratory assessments
• Assess and evaluate patient test results
• Deliver equipment and supplies
• Determine respiratory therapy plans with physicians and care teams
• Identify discrepancies with therapies and inform the care team
• Complete documentation to initiate therapy
• Provide follow-up to evaluate treatment effectiveness
• Prepare funding documents and facilitate payment
• Demonstrate and educate patients on product usage
• Contribute to VitalAire growth by liaising with medical professionals

Responsibilities

• Conduct full respiratory assessments
• Assess and evaluate patient test results
• Deliver equipment and supplies
• Determine respiratory therapy treatment plans in consultation with physicians and care teams
• Identify discrepancies with respiratory therapy treatments and convey them to the care team
• Ensure completion of all documentation and forms to initiate therapy
• Provide follow‑up to clients to evaluate effects of the treatment plan
• Prepare funding documents and facilitate payment
• Demonstrate and educate patients on usage of products and services
• Contribute to the growth of VitalAire by liaising with medical professionals

Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist
• Licensed to practice with the provincial governing body
• Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted
• Strong cardio‑respiratory assessment skills
• Valid driver’s license + Clear vulnerable persons check
• Previous experience in healthcare field an asset
• Ability to participate in a rotational after‑hours on call schedule
• Working knowledge of Microsoft, Google applications and Android
