Prairie Mountain Health is hiring Respiratory Therapists in Brandon and Dauphin!

Full Time and Part Time opportunities available.

Hourly Wage: $44.427 - $53.044

Job Summary

Consider joining the team of dedicated and highly skilled Respiratory Therapists (RTs) at the Brandon Regional Health Centre (BRHC). RTs at BRHC utilize their full scope of practice with performing intubations, arterial line insertions, patient transports and more. You will be able to utilize all the theory and practice you gained in your education to assist the interdisciplinary teams managing acute and complex patients across the lifespan (neonates to geriatrics).

RTs in BRHC are valued members of the interdisciplinary teams in ER, ICU, NICU and throughout the facilities. BRHC is a regional referral centre with 291 acute care beds. As we expand our hospital to include a new 16 bed intensive care unit (ICU) and 30 bed internal medicine unit, we need more RTs to provide quality respiratory care to the people of PMH.

Qualifications
  • Eligible for and maintains licensure to practice as a respiratory therapist in the Province of Manitoba
  • Certified in Advance Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life support or Neonatal Resuscitation Program
  • Must have an extensive knowledge of each area of the department, both in procedures and techniques in order to operate area, assist in area, and analyze technical procedures and problems in each area
  • Must have special ability and knowledge in Quality Control and Standards of Respiratory Care, exhibited qualities of leadership, teaching and self-improvement; Must be able to provide input and planning in a clinical setting
