Job summary

Riverhaven Child and Youth Services Ltd. in Canada (Chilliwack, BC) is hiring experienced Team Leaders and Resource Coordinators to mentor frontline staff and deliver trauma-informed care to youth with special needs in group homes.

The role includes supervising staff, guiding planning, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Starting wage ranges from $33.77 to $40.79 per hour, with full-time shifts on a rotating schedule.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience supporting youth with complex needs in residential or community settings.
  • Certificate and a Bachelor Degree in Social Work, or a related field
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to coach and support staff
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Valid BC driver’s license and reliable vehicle
  • First Aid certification and TB test
  • Auble to complete a Criminal Record Check and HUB clearance (Vulnerable Sector)
  • Familiarity with CARF standards, Fraser Health Licensing, and trauma-informed frameworks is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily supervision and leadership to child and youth workers
  • Support staff development, evaluation, and discipline processes
  • Orientation of new child and youth workers
  • Liaise with child and youth workers, social workers and external stakeholders to support transitions
  • Guide service planning, goal setting, and implementation
  • Maintain compliance with legal and regulatory standards
  • Manage resource spending and maintenance
  • Promote safety, dignity, and cultural respect in all interactions
  • Mentor and support child and youth workers in daily routines and crisis response
  • Attend appointments as needed
  • Participate in quality assurance and program development initiatives
  • Attend team meetings, provide input into program development

Reports to: Program Manager

Shifts Available: Full-Time, 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., on a rotating schedule.
