Action Furnace plumbers are responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of residential plumbing systems. This role requires skilled, safety-focused professionals who deliver high-quality workmanship, clear customer communication, and an exceptional in-home experience while ensuring all work is completed safely and in compliance with applicable codes and company standards.

Responsibilities:
- Accurately diagnose a wide range of residential plumbing issues by assessing system performance, identifying root causes, and evaluating both immediate and long-term impacts on the home.
- Determine the most effective repair or replacement solutions by balancing system condition, code requirements, cost-effectiveness, and customer needs.
- Troubleshoot complex, recurring, or system-wide plumbing problems using strong technical knowledge, logical problem-solving skills, and hands-on experience.
- Utilize appropriate tools, testing equipment, and diagnostic techniques to ensure accurate assessments and reliable repairs.
- Maintain and continuously expand technical expertise by participating in ongoing training, certifications, and professional development to stay current with plumbing technology, tools, and industry best practices.
Customer Communication & Experience:
- Clearly and confidently explain findings, recommended solutions, and next steps to homeowners in a way that is easy to understand and tailored to their level of knowledge.
- Provide transparent, honest information to help customers make informed decisions about their plumbing systems without pressure or technical jargon.
- Address customer questions and concerns with patience, professionalism, and empathy, ensuring they feel heard, respected, and supported throughout the service visit.
- Set clear expectations around timelines, scope of work, and outcomes to build trust and confidence.
- Consistently represent Action Furnace’s values by delivering a positive, respectful, and professional in-home experience at every visit.
Customer Education and Solutions:
- Conduct thorough repair-versus-replace assessments and clearly outline options, benefits, and considerations to support informed customer decision-making.
- Identify ethical, customer-focused opportunities for system upgrades, replacements, or preventative solutions that enhance reliability, efficiency, and long-term performance.
- Educate homeowners on how their plumbing systems operate, common maintenance needs, and warning signs of future issues.
- Introduce and explain maintenance plans, membership programs, and proactive service options that help customers protect their homes and avoid unexpected repairs.
- Ensure all recommendations align with Action Furnace’s commitment to integrity, quality workmanship, and customer-first service.
Safety and Compliance:
- Strictly adhere to all applicable plumbing codes, OH&S requirements, and Action Furnace safety policies to ensure safe and compliant work at all times.
- Perform work in a manner that prioritizes personal safety, customer safety, and the protection of property in occupied residential environments.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free worksite during and after each job, minimizing disruption to homeowners.
- Properly use and care for tools, equipment, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Actively participate in safety meetings, training sessions, inspections, and incident reporting to support a strong safety culture.
Qualifications:
- Journeyperson Plumbing Ticket
- Minimum one (1) year of residential plumbing experience
- Minimum three (3) year driver’s license with a clean abstract
- Customer-focused mindset with strong communication abilities
