Job summary

Bridgepoint Maintenance is seeking a versatile Handyworker for on-call residential maintenance in St. Thomas, Ontario. You will tackle diverse tasks from replacing locks to drywall touch-ups, often working independently with your own tools and vehicle.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of paid handyman or related experience, strong troubleshooting, and pride in quality workmanship. You will communicate professionally with customers and our operations team while meeting safety and scheduling

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of paid handyman, renovation, construction, property maintenance, or related experience.
• Ability to complete common residential maintenance work independently.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented with pride in quality workmanship.
• Communicates professionally with customers and operations team.
• Understands when work should be referred to a licensed trade.

Responsibilities

• General residential maintenance and repair work.
• Property inspections and preventative maintenance visits.
• Replacing HVAC filters.
• Installing and removing lockboxes.
• Repairing doors, locks, cabinets, shelving, blinds, and hardware.
• Repairing toilets, faucets, light fixtures, smoke detectors, and other common household fixtures.
• Minor drywall repairs, caulking, patching, and touch-ups.
• Furniture assembly and installation when required.
• Taking clear photos before and after completing work.
• Completing digital inspection reports and work order updates.
• Identifying maintenance concerns that require another trade or additional repairs.
