St. Leonard's is seeking a Full Time Residential Case Worker for Cody Centre to support participants through case management, education/employment goals, and community connections. The role includes crisis prevention, risk assessment, and advocacy for individuals in the criminal justice system on parole.

The position emphasizes safety, teamwork, and administrative duties within a diverse, inclusive workplace. Hours include a set rotation 8am–10pm, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifikationen

• Post-secondary education from an accredited institution.
• Intermediate (Formerly Standard) First Aid and CPR – Level C.
• Valid Full G Class Driver’s License.
• Candidates who are proficient in both official languages of Canada will be considered an asset.

• Provide assessment, crisis prevention and intervention, and support services within the program.
• Assess areas of risk and need, particularly in regard to mental health and addiction issues, and advocate for participants involved in the criminal justice system on parole.
• Liaise with parole officers, clinical supports, and court personnel to coordinate supports.
• Ensure safety and security of participants and staff during shifts; perform administrative functions for Cody Centre.
• Contribute to program development and evaluation and assist with orientation and training for staff and students.
• Work on a set rotation, including weekends and holidays, between 8am and 10pm.

SLCS is currently seeking a Full Time Residential Case Worker at Cody Centre. As a member of this interdisciplinary team, you will assist program participants through collaborative case management to build skills, seek/maintain education and/or employment, connect with community services and supports, follow their correctional plans and requirements and prepare for independent living through discharge planning. You will additionally provide assessment, crisis prevention and intervention, and support services within the program. You will be expected to assess areas of risk and need, particularly in regard to mental health and addiction issues, and provide advocacy for participants involved in the criminal justice system who are on parole. You will liaise with other services (i.e. parole officers, clinical supports, members of the court system) to coordinate supports for participants.

In addition to those elements, you will be responsible for the safety and security of the program participants and other staff during your shift. You will work collaboratively with other team members to complete administrative functions for Cody Centre.

You will be skilled at working with individuals from diverse populations, contributing to program development and evaluation and assisting your team with orientation and training, including for students who may be on placement. You will support a workplace that embraces diversity, encourages teamwork and complies with all the applicable and regulatory requirements, policies and procedures. This position would be working on a set rotation, between the hours of 8am and 10pm including weekends and holidays.
